U.S. Readies Policy Shift in Afghanistan
Natonal Public Radio

Aug. 2, 2003 -- The Bush administration, in coming weeks, will announce wide- ranging changes in its approach to reconstruction in Afghanistan -- including a new aid package that is expected to approach $1 billion.

The administration's handling of Afghanistan in the aftermath of the war that drove the Taliban regime from power has drawn criticism in Washington and around the world.

The new focus reportedly includes sending scores of high-level U.S. advisers directly to government ministries in Kabul, and will end U.S. co-operation with local warlords opposed to the government led by President Hamid Karzai. ---

3. You guys miss the point!
The money will build guard shacks and buy rent-a-cops to watch over the pipeline route and construction crews. Read the fine print, dammit!

4. What policy besides murder the local people?
The Bush Crime Family are nothing but murderers for our Power Elite Oil and Military Industrial Complex Corporations.

Nothings happened for the better in Afghanistan. It's called RAPE of LIFE. That's God's judgement against Bush and the Mafia.

5. Maybe they'll finally finish the one road
from Kabul to Kandahar. The one where the workers can't work for being attacked.
