British Prime Minister David Cameron has been forced to cut short his trade trip to Africa for a second time to address the deteriorating phone-hacking scandal.
The Prime Minister will be home late on Tuesday after cutting a further seven hours off the time he had allocated to his first African tour, which was originally planned to be for five days but was cut to just over two days, British media reported.
Cameron will be flying home from Nigeria on Tuesday after visiting South Africa on Monday in the wake of the resignation of Britain's top counter-terrorism officer, John Yates.
Yates, Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner, became the second high-profile Scotland Yard officer to step down over the scandal, which has engulfed the Downing Street, the Met and Rupert Murdoch's media empire.
