News Corp shares rise after hearing
Source: BBC News

Shares in News Corporation have recovered ground after Rupert and James Murdoch's appearance in front of a committee of British MPs.

News Corp shares closed up 5.5% in New York and rose 5.1% in Sydney.

The move recovers some of the losses sustained as the phone-hacking scandal at its newspaper title, the News of the World, has unfolded.

1. Alright financial gurus . . .
'splain this to me as if I were 5. Also, amid the heated debt ceiling debates, the Dow was UP yesterday. I thought political uncertainty made the Dow volatile. I'm so confused.

3. Money always trumps evil, I guess.
You see, if this were a better world (never mind perfect), if this weren't really Bizarro world, this would have and should have spelt the end of News Corp.

But peoples gots to make thier moneys, and even if Satan Himself were head of NewsCorp (and who really says he isn't), the Evil Men Do will be forgotten by next week, latest.

Because peoples gots to make their moneys, and only suckers work for a living.

Have your girl call my girl. We'll do a power lunch.
