2. Send the bill to Michele Bachmann.
She's got more Federal money than the govt does.

7. Palin will show up with her "homemade" cookies.
Like she did when those poor Alaskans nearly starves to death in the Winter of 2008/09.

17. Had not heard about that.
Not surprised, of course. I mean, it figures, given she's such a caring, concerned "christian" that she'd want to feed the hungry. Guess cookies are better than nothing. "Homemade" you say? Can only imagine the bitter after-taste! Ugh!

6. Tornados in Minnesota on July 30. Nope, no climate change here.
Move on, nothing to see here.

Did I mention that DC will set its second straight record hot summer? Pretty weird, given DC's history. Just a coincidence, I am sure.

9. Spring. April, May, maybe June. I haven't heard of tornadoes in upper Midwest this time of year.
Have you?

11. Yes, yes I have.
July is 2nd in number of tornadoes per month in Minnesota. Matter of fact 25% of the tornadoes that occur in Minnesota occur in July.

12. The only way a tornado in MN would be unusual is if it would be
a bigger one than we have had in the past.

14. Tornadoes are our summer equivalent of winter snow
They can crop up during any of the warm 6 months and July is notoriously active.

Perhaps you were mistaking us for Montana - we get that a lot from folks who've never been here.

15. For what it's worth,
Sitting in St. Cloud about an hour ago, watched an amazing lightning show from the cells to the south - the entire horizon flickered with activity every second or two. No tornado warnings here, but hope everyone's safe elsewhere.
