AMARA, Iraq - British soldiers arrested 15 fighters loyal to radical Shiite cleric Moqtada Sadr during a search operation here Saturday, a Sadr representative said.

“British forces penetrated two areas and arrested 15 of our fighters,” said Mohammed Mussawi, Sadr’s chief deputy in this town some 365 kilometres (226 miles) southeast of Baghdad.

The soldiers also searched Sadr’s office and damaged some vehicles, he said.....
