http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/employment/2003-08-05-challenger_x.htm

NEW YORK (Reuters) — The number of job cuts announced by U.S. employers surged 43% in July after a two-month decline, a report said Tuesday, suggesting a rebound in the job market may not happen until the end of the year.

Planned layoffs at U.S. firms shot up to 85,117 in July from 59,715 in June, job placement firm Challenger Gray & Christmas said. Job cuts so far in 2003 total 715,649, only 12% lower than in the same period last year.

The report said job hunters can expect an average of 20 weeks to find a job that may not match their last salary.

1. There's no reason for any "rebound by the end of the year" --
we've been hearing that tune since the Bu$h-Greenspan recession started in the spring of 2001. No "rebound by the end of 2001" or "by the end of 2002"; now the crack(ed) Bu$h economic team is going for "0 for 3".

"Prosperity is just around the corner"? Where have I heard that before?

4. Page 184 of the USA Patriot act says we can jail Bush
Edited on Wed Aug-06-03 03:16 AM by jamesinca
It states on that page that anything that is a threat or harm to the infrastructure of the U.S. including the economy is a jailable offense. I think we should read him the riot, excuse me the Patriot act. Actually it is on page 131. H.R. 3162-131 Economy is defined as part of the viatl infrastructure of the US in that part of the Patriot act.

So that's why the poll numbers show what they do.

Isn't it amazing what GOP Mind Control Media can do to 8 years of prosperity and world harmony to become supporting an economic depression and world murder/chaos!
