More than 200 Nigerian Muslims killed in Christian attack
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_world/view/83367/1/.html

KANO, Nigeria : More than 200 Muslims are dead and 120 missing after Christian militia attacked a central Nigerian town, one of Nigeria's most senior Islamic leaders said, branding the assault "mass murder".

Abdulkadir Orire, secretary general of Nigeria's main Muslim representative body the Jama'atu Nasril Islam, warned that if the violence was not halted it could trigger similar ethnic or sectarian clashes elsewhere in the country.

"Between 200 and 250 people were killed in the violence, while many have disappeared," he told AFP in a telephone interview.

"Those who disappeared cannot be accounted for, nobody knows if they are dead or in hiding. 120 people, including women and children, are missing," he said, citing the testimony of refugees fleeing the flashpoint region.

3. nobody cares about Africa
This will go down as the most horrible crime of the 21st century - the slow death of an entire continent.

4. It's sad, but I have a lot of hope for Africa in other ways
The entire continent is emerging from centuries of colonialism. Some western organizations are heavily involved in trying to help African nations achieve democracy and stem the AIDS epidemic. Americans have been very generous when there have been natural disasters and famine, and missionaries from all denominations work to provide medical care and educational opportunities to all. South Africa has an intact democracy, and still has a way to go as far as resolving crime issues, but is on it's way.

5. If you are black...nobody cares , not even your own religion
Black Muslims are every bit as despised by Arab Muslims as by white Christians. The world is a sick place!
