Disney 'blocks' Moore documentary

Controversial director Michael Moore has said film studio Disney is refusing to release his new documentary, which heavily criticises President Bush.

Fahrenheit 911 was to be distributed by Miramax, a division of Disney.

But Disney has "officially decided to prohibit" Miramax from distributing the film, the director said on his website.

2. Don't they ever learn?

Look what happened with "Stupid White Men" when they (Harper Collins) tried to stifle that book. Look what happend with "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them" when O'Reilly sued Franken. Most people ignore documentaries. Disney has just guaranteed that this film will be a huge success. It'll be a smash at Cannes. Then someone else will pick up the distrbution and make a pile of $$$.

3. Either Disney will get enough letters

...and relent, after gaining tons of free publicity, or Moore will simply find another, smaller distributor.

The film must pack a wallop, if Eisner is scared of it.
