Lowry Mays (Clear Channel) Recovering from Brain Surgery
I'm sure we all send our best. (sarcasm/off)

Lowry Mays, chairman of the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, was recovering Tuesday from recent brain surgery, his company said.

Mays, chairman and CEO of radio giant Clear Channel Communications, had the surgery Friday to relieve swelling caused by localized bleeding and a small blood clot, the company said in its first-quarter earnings report.

1. I think Molly Ivins
once said that Lee Atwater's own brain rebelled at the vile thinking it had to do on his behalf.

That said, I wish Mays well and, as Rona Barrett would say, "Keep thinkin' the good thoughts" (although in his case it may not be possible).

2. Well he surely knows how to make money
It's too damned bad he doesn't know how to make it without plundering and rendering lifeless the very airwaves so many of us adored growing up and converting them to bilge pumps pouring his utter hate-filled rightwing monster politics 24-7.

Maybe a repaired brain will give him the vision he desperately lacks.

3. Brain surgery? What kind? Implant?
If so, will he become a liberal post-op?

I hope he recovers fully, all kidding aside. I don't agree with his politics, but I'd never wish anyone ill that wasn't the on par with Osama.

5. Hmmm. Localized bleeding & small clot = STROKE. Hello.
I guess Repukes are too lofty to admit that they have suffered a stroke. From the sounds of it, the stroke was hemorrhagic, not ischemic, so ol' Lowry Mays cerebrovasculature just couldn't take the pressure. Fortunately for him, the stroke was in the right hemisphere, based upon reports of left-sided weakness. Unless he's a relatively rare left-hander with right dominant language, he's likely to suffer little lasting deficits.

6. Maybe he is simply too damned important to have a common stroke!

He is, after all, responsible for seeing absolute crap flies out of our radios every time we turn them on.

On edit to add Mays "pitchur":
