HUMILIATED No.10 SAYS SORRY OVER KELLY SLUR
DOWNING Street made a grovelling apology yesterday after calling weapons expert Dr David Kelly a "Walter Mitty" character.

As anger grew over the slur - on the eve of Dr Kelly's funeral today - the No.10 official responsible was given a ferocious dressing-down by Deputy Premier John Prescott.

Tom Kelly, one of Tony Blair's two official spokesmen, apologised "unreservedly" to Dr Kelly's family for intruding on their grief.

He said the remark came at a private briefing and was an attempt to "outline the questions" facing the inquiry into the apparent suicide.

Everyone knows this was a murder. Why do we pretend otherwise?

1. Blair & Co sure know how
to shot themselves in the foot, so to speak.

What a bunch of bumbling idiots.

Apparent suicide my ass.

2. "the No.10 official responsible was given a ferocious dressing-down"
and a promotion, and a new corner office.

"Oh, please don't throw me in the briar patch Mr. Deputy Prime Minister!"

3. Walter Mitty indeed
"WE’RE going through!" The Commander’s voice was like thin ice breaking. "We can’t make it, sir. It’s spoiling for a hurricane, if you ask me." "I’m not asking you, Lieutenant Berg," said the Commander. "Rev her up! We’re going through!" The crew, bending to their various tasks in the huge, hurtling eight-engined Navy flyingboat, looked at each other and grinned. "The old man will get us through" they said to one another. "The Old Man ain’t afraid of Hell!" ...

"Not so fast! You’re driving too fast!" said Mrs Mitty. "Hmm?" said Walter Mitty. He looked at his wife, in the seat beside him, with shocked astonishment. "You were up to fifty-five," she said. "You know I don’t like to go more than forty." Walter Mitty drove on in silence, the roaring of the SN202 through the worst storm in twenty years of Navy flying fading in the remote, intimate airways of his mind.

4. It is amazing to me how the the "Bush Blurbs" are contagious!!
These people literally think that they are above
all others and that they have all rights to demean others
even when they are dead!!!

Pathetic!!!

5. I was thinking the same thing
He has really been on the phone with Bush to much. Took a few lessons in diplomacy from the U.S.
