How many Democrats in the House are there?
Edited on Thu May-06-04 09:03 PM by Lefty_the_Right
Voting "yes" were 151 Democrats, 213 Democrats and one independent.

Voting "no" were 49 Democrats and one independent.

X denotes those not voting.
There is one vacancy in the 435-member House.

This is on the vote to condemn the torture in Iraq.
It looks like the 49 are Dems?

"How many repubs are in the House?: would have been the right way to phrase it.

2. I think that was to
call for an investigation, and it didn't include investigating the CIA and "contractors" is why some Dems didn't vote for it. They wanted that language in it and Nancy Pelosi said it had a lot of "whereas" in it and they should be removed before it was approved. I watched it on C-Span today.
