Software Developer Crystle annouces for PA Dem US Senate nomination
WASHINGTON - An Internet entrepreneur who has never run for political office said yesterday he would seek election to the U.S. Senate, bucking Democratic Party leaders who have already lined up behind another Pennsylvania candidate.

Charlie Crystle, a 36-year-old software developer who has never run for political office, said Tuesday he will seek the Democratic nomination for the Senate seat, bucking party leaders who have already lined up behind Democratic Rep. Joseph Hoeffel...

But Crystle said his candidacy should "strengthen the Democratic Party" by offering voters a choice.

Crystle, who has said he made $5 million in 1999 when he sold his share of a software company that he helped found, said he will spend up to $1 million of his own money on the campaign. At last count, Hoeffel had $235,630 in the bank but has said he hopes to raise as much as $10 million.

Crystle's "entry into the race certainly doesn't help the Democrats' ability to prevail in the fall," said Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman T.J. Rooney. "We do not need a divisive primary, and quite frankly, I think the support is solidifying for Congressman Hoeffel."

Specter, meanwhile, has $8.6 million in his campaign account, and Toomey has $1.5 million.

Crystle is running against the DLC candidate Hoeffel in PA for the US Senate. Let's get behind Crystle, Hoeffel supported Bush's invasion of Iraq, Crystle said it was wrong. Hoeffel is relying on corporate supporters and the establishment, while Crystle says he's going to be about the people. If you are in Penn, get involved to elect Crystle!

3. What has Crystle ever done
Has Crystle:

ever held elective office;
held a position in government, either in a supervisory or in an adminstrative capacity;
run for office;
done anything in the community, been civically engaged at all, helped the less fortunate

Based on what I've seen he isn't qualified for the office.

4. What the hell is your deal with experience
Personally, I find it offensive to the spirit of the democratic party and especially for what we are fighting here for at the Democratic Underground. It's like shoe shopping and the only size available is size 8. Hey, my feet will hurt like hell wearing those shoes, but the shoe department knows what's best so I better just cram my toes in there and quit my griping.

Crystle isn't running for Chief Brain Surgeon or Rocket Scientist of PA, he's running for US Senate. What experience he needs is to be able to listen to people and help decide what's best for Pennsylvania and play well with others. The rest he'll learn when he's in DC.

Based on what I've read from your posts you're either working for Joe Hoeffel or just feel that your opinion is somehow more important than everyone else when it comes to running an election. Then again, that sounds like a majority of the politicians in DC who feel that corporate CEO somehow have a more important voice than the people!

5. I am not working for Hoeffel
Actually I am moving to Florida in the coming weeks. But I think Crystle is a guaranteed loser.

Why you think this man can win this office is beyond me.
