Roadside blast injures Iraqi prisoners traveling in U-S convoy

Baghdad, Iraq-AP -- Seven Iraqi prisoners who were in the process of being released have been injured in a roadside bombing.

The Marines say soldiers from the Army's First Infantry Division pursued the attacker. One was killed and another captured.

The military convoy was traveling between two western towns (Ramadi and Habbaniyah) when the blast occurred. The wounded prisoners were treated at a military hospital for shrapnel wounds.

1. How is it, passengers were injured, but no US troops?

Who was transporting them? Civilian contractors? Oh well, injuries to our side are seldom reported, are they? I'm sure Rumsfeld resents like hell that they can't hide the number of soldiers who have died. Did you ever wonder how many limbs have been lost; how many brains have been damaged; or losses of eyesight, hearing, etc.? Here's where the chickenhawks practise, "Don't ask; don't tell." And keep cutting back on the VA hospitals. It's the GOP way!
