Lynch: Pray for families of mistreated Iraqi inmates

MONTGOMERY, West Virginia (AP) -- Former POW Jessica Lynch said prayers should go out to the families of Iraqi prisoners who have been mistreated by American military prison guards.

Lynch's comments came after she addressed about 150 graduating students Saturday at the West Virginia University Institute of Technology.

When asked her opinion of news reports of the mistreatment of prisoners, Lynch told reporters, "Pray for their families and keep up hope."

Lynch declined to comment on Army Pfc. Lynndie England of Fort Ashby, who is one of seven soldiers from the 372nd Military Police Company charged with mistreating Iraqi prisoners.

Although hope for what, getting out of Iraq?

She knows that she was treated 1000x better by her Iraqi "captors".

She's smarter than I gave her credit for, and I think she has earned our trust from here on out.

She is genuine.

I have actually been praying for her; praying that the cabal are blocked from getting their hooks into her.

She is actually someone I can respect. Rove hype machine wanted to make her an icon, but she knew she wasn't one and admitted the facts. She was just there doing her job and she is but an ordinary person.

when BushCO will send the attack dogs out after her for upstaging them...?

That's what being an American is all about.

she is one cool woman.

and not just kindergarden kids. Tom Hamill could maybe learn from her. He was on t.v "ahh support prezdint Bush and the war" and plans to go back to Iraq as soon as possible "cuz the money is good".

She's one of the true heroes of this whole sordid turn of history. A class act.

I don't know if anyone would blame her if she reacted the opposite way, considering what happened to her. She's acting with compassion and sympathy instead of vengeance and wrath, I tip my hat.
