Fishing Groups Seek Data on Rove Role (Kerry blasts Rove)
White House - AP

WASHINGTON - Environmental and commercial fishing groups asked the White House on Wednesday to explain the role President Bush's top political aide played in developing water policy in the Northwest.

The request followed the disclosure that White House political adviser Karl Rove briefed dozens of political appointees at the Interior Department a year and a half ago about diverting water in the Klamath River in Oregon to help nearby farms. --

Sen. John Kerry, one of the Democratic presidential candidates, called on the Interior Department's Inspector General to look into whether "political pressure from the White House is intimidating staff and influencing policy."

"The Bush Administration needs to understand that federal agencies like the Interior Department are not a division of the Republican National Committee and at their disposal to give out political favors," said Kerry. ---

1. Kerry Blasts Rove Out of the Water!

John Kerry said:

"The Bush Administration needs to understand that federal agencies like the Interior Department are not a division of the Republican National Committee and at their disposal to give out political favors."

Ouch! The Truth hurts, doesn't it Karl?

7. Isn't it absolutely amazing how pervasive it is...
every single aspect of government has been politicized. They are determined to build this enormous institutiional monolith where they are the only power. They won't just make the rules, they'll pick the players.

8. Kerry is talking tough with the dept of the interior
How about the Pentagon and the DOJ Senator ? The neo-cons got your tounge ? :eyes:

Im sorry, if Dean and Kucinich werent in the race, i doubt Kerry would even say a word about Iraq and the mountain of lies that have been spewed.

13. Yeah, right. Kerry was the first Dem to confront
Bush on Afghanistan and pushed Bush to go to the UN on Iraq. Dean was nowhere involved.

In fact, when Kerry and Gore were hammering Bush on military strategy in Afghanistan over a year ago, Dean supported Bush OVER them.

10. How nice of him to find a spine
Too bad it was missing for so long. We could've used a little outrage and "anger" (so newly-found to be popular with voters) starting around November 2000 and continuing through the last 33 months.

Ahhh, I guess we'll just have to GET OVER IT.

11. That's Complete Bull
In 2000, Kerry was the only one willing to pressure Bush about Harken, Cocaine, and his AWOL year. Three days before the election, Kerry went on Meet The Press and expressed his outrage that someone who dodged the draft and went AWOL could smear veterans like Gore and McCain.

As for this election race, here's an incomplete list of articles where Kerry kicks ass and takes names.

12. Crap

And what in the hell has Dean done? That's right...NOTHING other than talk.

Dean would have probably been on the Bush side on the basin issue on Oregon.

Did Dean lead a fillibuster against drilling in North Alaska? SPINE?

Dean may have an issue or two over Kerry but the environment aint one of em. Say goodnight dick.

15. Amen Eloriel
too little too late. Finger in the wind cowardice.

I dont care how many John Lennon photos Kerry sends out, he still defends his vote for the illegal immoral invasion of Iraq. You would think the suffering of our troops would lead him to renounce the war and his vote.
