National church group says U-N should take over Iraq
http://www.wane.com/Global/story.asp?S=1856177

Undated-AP -- A national group representing 36 Protestant and Orthodox churches is urging President Bush to turn over authority in Iraq to the United Nations.

The National Council of Churches calls U-S foreign policy "dangerous" and says giving the U-N control is the only way to create "lasting peace."

The council has issued a letter it hopes will be read in churches nationwide. The group has been highly critical of the war.

Meanwhile, the United Methodist Church says its Council of Bishops "laments" the war in Iraq. The bishops' resolution says Iraqi prisoners have suffered "gross violations" of their human rights.

The National Council of Churches is way too liberal for them. Prior to the invasion of Iraq, I posted some articles written by the National Council of Churches on a right wing board and these people went ballistic....called them communist, socialist, pinkos, etc...

They did the same to the Interfaith Alliance,...
,...and I was,...shocked, to say the least. I could not believe that anyone held so much hatred within themselves.
