Chilling new evidence of the brutal regime at Iraqi prison
THE United States prison guard holds a snake up to the camera: "This is a sand viper," she says. "One bite will kill you in six hours. We’ve already had two prisoners die of it, but who cares? That’s two less for me to worry about."

By her own admission, she was a fearsome guard. The prisoners were scared of her, and she had been in trouble for throwing stones at them.

"We actually shot two prisoners today," she says. "One got shot in the chest for swinging a pole against our people on the feed team. One got shot in the arm. We don’t know if the one we shot in the chest is dead yet."... http://news.scotsman.com/international.cfm?id=542742004

And *nobody* held a snake up to the camera-- they showed a dead snake in the sand while the comments were being made. How could they get that so wrong?

On Edit: It's the middle of the night-- nuff said.

2. Could it have been a portion of the video diary not aired on 60 minutes?

3. This one had her face obscured, and was younger.

She was also so immature she sounded like and spoke like a 10 year old. She was apparently extremely unhappy, wanted to go back to the States, kept a teddy bear with her, and sounded similar to the way many people remember their kid sisters sounding around the 5th or 6th grade.

It was spooky. It would almost seem she had regressed psychologically, was living in a netherworld, not really solidly in touch with reality. She spoke of people shooting prisoners waiting to be fed with complete detachment.

She had begun throwing rocks at prisoners as she was getting revenge for their pitching rocks at the troops.

At the end of the segment, she was simply close to babbling, as if she only wanted someone to know how much she wanted to get out of there, and was trapped behind barbed wire, also, just like the prisoners. Clearly it was too much pressure for her mentally.

On edit:

We're in luck if you have Real Player! CBS already has the video available online which has the segment showing the soldier in question! Go here:

Click Video: Inside Camp Bucca in the top story, "A GI's Iraq Prison Video Diary."

I just checked to make sure it works, and it looks like the story they did tonight.
