LAS VEGAS -- Counter-protesters far outnumbered anti-gay picketers from a Kansas church who rallied in Las Vegas Wednesday against a high school play based on the 1998 beating death of Wyoming college student Matthew Shepard.

Referring to the small group from the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan., one counter-demonstrator said, "Wherever they are, that's where we'll be."

He carried a rainbow flag and a sign reading, "Hate Kills."
