Nova Scotia may force oil companies to warn consumers of gas price hikes
http://www.cbc.ca/stories/2004/05/13/canada/nsgas040513

HALIFAX - The government of Nova Scotia has introduced legislation which would force oil companies to give advance notice of gasoline price increases.

If passed, increases at the pumps will have to be listed 48 hours in advance.

Barry Barnet, Nova Scotia's minister in charge of consumer affairs, concedes the regulation does nothing to bring high prices down.

3. You Are Just Un-American
No wonder Nova Scotia did not participate in the Second Continental Congress in 1775 (After participating in the First Continental Congress in 1774). I had always blamed it n the British Fleet, but now we know, it was you and your hatred of the American Way of Life.

4. Hey! So do I...
:hi: That makes at least three Nova Scotia DUers in the People's Republic of Halifax!

BTW, this is a half-assed idea; basically it'll cause huge panic lines at gas stations (with all the social deterioration that entails). It'll also make the price increases happen sooner as the supplies of lower-priced gas run out more quickly from panic buying.

Yet another POS idea from the John (Dubya-wannabe) Hamm Tory govt. What a bunch of gormless morans!

:dunce:
