U.S. GI Dies in Attack in S. Afghanistan

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (AP) - Suspected Taliban fighters ambushed a U.S. patrol in southern Afghanistan, killing one soldier, the military said Sunday, while Afghan forces seized rebel weapons in a neighboring province.

U.S. troops defused a bomb targeting a bridge, not far from where the patrol was attacked Saturday in Helmand province, a district police chief said.

2. Right, wasn't there supposed to be a huge "Spring Offensive"?

Spring has been going on for almost two months. What have we gained? Any new territory? Any al Qaeda converts. Nope, just more dead soldiers. Disgusting.

3. Our kids die in Afghanistan allmost daily

Bush doesn't care about showing any honor. Afghanistan is still a country in disarray. Opium is still their top crop with American knowledge and approval. Fourteen percent of women die in pregnancy and delivery. Bush has denied family planning funds and birth control based on his and Ashcrofts ultra right wing religious agenda. I guess they don't mind if 14% of women lose their lives in pregnancy and delivery.
