German's film's political message sets cannes abuzz
http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/s1110306.htm

A German film about a group of young people who dream of changing the world has won a 10-minute standing ovation at the Cannes film festival, making it a frontrunner for the Palme d'Or best film award.

Director Hans Weingartner's film, The Edukators, adds to the strong political current running through this year's festival, from US director Michael Moore's documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 to striking workers in the streets.

The 28-year-old director and cast pulled up in the beat-up blue van that features in the film, before dancing their way up the red carpet. Inside, a rapturous reception awaited them.

....
The first German film to compete in Cannes in 11 years, it tells the story of three idealistic youths who break into rich people's villas and move their furniture around, leaving behind notes with messages such as: "You have too much money."

3. heh heh
I know someone who did that sort of thing, to a bully, only he didn't leave notes. Just moved random stuff around and left. Day after day. Drove the bully plum nuts. Ended up on tranqs, which pretty much kept him from anymore bullying.

4. Too bad they got the idea from the Manson family
The Manson Family, if I remember Bugliosi's book correctly, used to do stuff like this, sneaking into rich people's homes while they were sleeping and rearranging the furniture. They called it "creepy crawling," a term which has freaked me out since I read the book when I was 13 (didn't sleep well for a couple of nights, even though we were poor). This was before the murders, by the way. Sorta a creepy test-run.
