British Prime Minister Tony Blair, increasingly under fire from his own Labour party over Iraq, will argue the reinforcements are part of an exit strategy, which focuses on accelerating the training of Iraqi military to take over on June 30, The Times newspaper said today.
Blair, speaking yesterday in Ankara, said that British troops would stay in Iraq until "the job is done" and insisted he would not bow to criticism over the US-led coalition's handling of the situation there.
Britain's Ministry of Defence (MOD) said that no definitive decision on sending additional troops to Iraq had been reached.
