UK Protesters Taunt Bush Sr. with Torture Hoods
LONDON (Reuters) - British protesters wearing black hoods like those worn by Iraqi victims of abuse by U.S. soldiers demonstrated against former U.S. President George Bush at a fundraising event for his son's re-election campaign Tuesday.
Around 150 people picketed outside a London hotel where Bush senior was guest of honor at a dinner costing at least $1,000 to attend, raising funds for President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney's November election bid.

"I'm here to stand up against death and destruction around the world," said one of the hooded protesters, Ingrid Dodd, a medical doctor from Dover.

"I spend all day trying to clean people up and then I see our bombs on television tearing them apart."

2. How is it legal for them to raise funds from British people? Or were
these American Repubs "partying down" in London?

I mean, I would think JK could raise about 999,9999,999,999 times as much money as shrub from foreign countries if it were open to this sort of thing?

23. My first thought on this article too! Didn't the Republicans try really
really hard to nail Clinton and Gore with accepting contributions from noncitizens from other countries?

One set of rules for the Bushies (which means no rules except those they wish to obey) and a different set of rules for the rest of us...

What about the stink the repukes made over Al Gore's Chinese fundraising coffees.

12. from the article
The international arm of the U.S. Republican party, Republicans Abroad, hosted the event and many of those attending were keen to voice their support for the president, despite the protest.

"I support Bush because he's doing the right thing in Iraq," said one guest, Alex Kulpecz, an oil and gas consultant who has lived in London for 20 years.

"The jury's still out on whether Bush senior or Bush junior is the better president."

Quit the name calling and attack Bush with a pitchfork(or whatever tools of your trade you have at hand. Touchpad perhaps.)
Remember - most of the rest of the world hates BushCo with a deep abiding passion. Only American voters have the chance to do something about it.
