Saleem 'held up at US checkpoint'
http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,9603767%255E1702,00.html

IRAQ'S slain Governing Council chief Izzedin Saleem may have been held up at a US checkpoint just before he was killed in a suicide attack, because he did not have proper ID, an Iraqi minister said today.

"Yes, I heard that account, but it is not confirmed. As far as I'm concerned, we're waiting for confirmation," interim interior minister Samir Sumaydah said at a news conference.

The minister was asked if Salim had been held up at a US checkpoint because he did not have the right identification badge and whether the delay in getting his document contributed to his vulnerability.

US Brigadier General Mark Kimmitt, deputy director of military operations, said later that one senior official had been turned back, but doubted that it had been the Governing Council president.

more...Sounds like Mr. Saleem had outlived his usefulness?

4. India bashing
I resent the India bashing on this board.

I am an Indian-American and know for a fact that over 90% of Indians are against the chimp and heavy contributors to the democratic party.

The outsourcing is not driven by Indians but by the US corporations. It does help our relatives back in India. Are we supposed to go against human nature and oppose it?

The outsourcing to India is 16% of the total jobs outsourced to other countries -- why single out India?
