Wounded Iraqi Boy Expected to Lead Independent Life
LONDON (Reuters) - Ali Ismaeel Abbas, the boy who lost both arms during the Iraq (news - web sites) war, can expect to lead an independent life after he is fitted with artificial limbs, specialists who will be treating him in Britain said on Friday.

The 13-year-old Iraqi boy who touched the hearts of millions after he lost his arms and most of his family, will have his first assessment on Monday at the Roehampton Rehabilitation Center at Queen Mary's Hospital in London.

Where's Shrub for the photo op? Why don't the 20K Iraqis who died "touch the heart of millions"?

1. Shoot, Dub won't even pose with...
OUR wounded troops!

He just wants to parade around in a flight suit uniform with socks stuffed in his crotch by "Chip" Rove--not waste time with any soldiers or Marines who saw any REAL combat--and paid the price for it! After all, he's got some vacation time at Crawford still left to spend.:grr:

B-)

2. How does one lead an independent life after most of your family...
...was killed in their sleep from the "Shock and Awe"? Strange headline.

of his war if he acknowledges Ali. When Ali's story was so prominent in the news, I never once saw that phony Bush even mention him....Besides, after he get's his new arms, the boy will be moving to Canada with his closest family members...An Iraqi-Canadian doctor has visited Ali and his uncle in Kuwait and has been working on this for some.
P.S...On reading the article again I realize why Bush has never mentioned Ali...It seems the little boy criticized Bush publicly!!LOL

4. Gee, I'm glad the ONE civilian casualty in Iraq is feeling better!
I'm glad we could help liberate him from his arms. And his parents.

Pathetic. If there hadn't been video of this kid, nobody would have helped him, and he'd probably be dead now.
