On the spot: destruction of houses and zoo in Rafah
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,1-1118493,00.html

"One of the most depressing scenes is the wanton destruction of Rafah zoo. Israeli troops released wild jaguars from their cages, while many of the animals can be seen lying half dead with broken legs and other wounds.
...
Military bulldozers have flattened the pens and cages, and even a children's swimming pool. About the only thing left standing is a solitary palm tree.

"In the Brazil district I saw at least 18 or 20 demolished houses. More than 300 olive trees and date palms had been uprooted and flattened in a nearby grove.
...
"The Israeli army has said that it did not destroy any homes and blamed roadside bombs planted by Palestinian militants for the damage. It has admitted however that no tunnels have been discovered."

Yeah, the IDF only destroys homes that might be covers for tunnels? They'll destroy anything when the attention of the media is on Iraq.

6. oh no we shouldn`t do that
they are our friends. they are a shining example of democracy in the middle east. when one wants to see democracy in action just look at our good friend Israel. all this is sanctioned by the highest court,an elected government and the Torah,so it must be acceptable to the rest of the world. remember back in the bad old days when those bad Arabs sided with our sworn enemy-the Russians- Israel was our only hope to stop the ruthless ,godless commies from taking over the middle east. so of course every politician expect a brave few gave Israel 90+billion over the years for the votes of Jewish Americans

4. No, the world watches but I think it's going to do something soon because
Edited on Fri May-21-04 11:29 AM by Tinoire
the world is tired of US & Israeli excesses. Right now the US is down, going down fast and will soon not be in a position to protect Israel with vetoes and what not.

Armageddon here we come.

5. If we fail to get the extremist elements out of world leadership positions
I believe we will, unfortunately, be forced into a kind of apocalypse that the vast majority of human beings do NOT want.
