New Iraqi government will be known in two weeks: Powell
WASHINGTON (AFP) - UN envoy Lakhdar Brahimi could reveal a list of people for the future interim Iraqi government in two weeks, US Secretary of State Colin Powell said.

"We're going to put an executive group together: a president, two vice presidents and a prime minister. Those individuals are now being looked at now, candidates for those positions, by Ambassador Brahimi, the UN representative, and by our folks as well. And I would hope that in the next week or two, Ambassador Brahimi will come forward with a slate of individuals for those positions," Powell said on Westwood One Radio Network.

"We know who Ambassador Brahimi is looking at and we are discussing with him all the candidates. And, frankly, there is a pretty high coincidence of agreement with respect to the qualifications of the slate that we're looking at.

"Then that will be presented to the United Nations. It'll be presented to the international community. And I'm already working on a UN resolution that will endorse this arrangement and we're not even waiting for the announcement of names; we've already started working on the resolution with my Security Council colleagues," Powell said.

4. Isn't Powell wonderful!
The entire Powell saga is interesting. This man, apparently , has never had an honest thought in his head. His son was given a job, and he has managed to convince a whole lot of people that he is the one good guy in an evil administration. He will tell us that also, as he writes his book after Bush is gone.

He is a fraud, a phoney, and a con man. There has been a loss of innocence on the part of the persons who accepted that Powell was actually a brilliant military analyst with a sober, serious and stable demeanor. No such thing. His whole career , it seems , has been one of playing that part, as he has the facial expressions, and the cadence to the "knowlegeable" voice down pat. He is all smoke and no fire and no real brain power. He is the quinessential actor and con man.
