Kerry's Campaign Gets New Airplane
Edited on Mon May-24-04 08:02 PM by onehandle
WASHINGTON - John Kerry's presidential campaign is scheduled for takeoff Tuesday on a new plane designed for work and some play.

The Boeing 757-200 includes two conference tables, eight phone lines, a copy machine, a printer and a power outlet in every seat for laptops and cell phone charging. It also has a standup bar for socializing.

The plane is emblazoned "John Kerry" and "President" and can seat 94 in five cabins. The first cabin is for Kerry, a second contains the conference tables, a third for his staff and the last two seat the media and Secret Service.

10. LMAO
Edited on Mon May-24-04 08:21 PM by RummyTheDummy
Ummmm, a new or used 757 probably costs upwards of $75 to $100 million. I seriously doubt the campaign bought one. Usually in these situations the planes are leased. Im positive that's the case here.

8. Nice! Will it be available for last minute flights to problematic election
sites? Didn't Enron offer jets to fly brownshirts down to Florida?

13. Does it have flare and chaff dispensers?
I mean we are operating in a "terrorist" environment. "Things" might happen. And investigations take a long, long time, it seems, when democrats are the victims, it seems.

14. Kerry is too cool for words
Kerry has been using several chartered planes while waiting for his own to be finished. Most recently, he was sharing a plane with the band Fleetwood Mac.

17. Fabulous!
Sure is a *beauty.*

I hope he keeps this one and scuttles the old AF1.

I don't think there is a fumigant in the world to
properly cleanse it of odorific republicanitis.

21. He surely has a pilot he trusts, but if he wants one for free, I volunteer
:D

(I don't have a type rating in a 757 but that's a formality, really)

To my shame, I often carried Repugs campaigning on orders from my old boss (Coburn/Revlon) and yes, the Coburn name included Tom who's running for Senate here in OK. I've known the prick since he was in high school, flown him all over the USA. ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH

22. 757s are sharp looking planes...
not a state of the art though, by any means. I would have recommended a 737-900 NG.
