Bryant's lawyers suggest bias in investigation

EAGLE, Colo. - NBA star Kobe Bryant’s defense team labels investigation ’woeful’ in rape trial

A defense lawyer asked a judge Monday to approve expert witnesses he said will show that the investigation of rape charges against Kobe Bryant was shoddy enough to suggest bias against the NBA star.

Bryant attorney Hal Haddon said in court papers he wants to call two experts to testify that the work of sheriff’s detectives Doug Winters and Dan Loya was incomplete.

Haddon said the men “closed their eyes” to potential physical evidence at the site of the alleged crime that might have confirmed Bryant’s innocence.

...prosecute (with all these motions) that municipalities in the future will think twice about charging rich peope with crimes.

And we'll have two criminal justice systems -- one for rich people and one for poor people. Oh wait. We already do.

and one of the teams frequently mentioned in the media is Denver. Forgive me for being cynical, but it seems this might just be a carrot to dangle in front of the jury, i.e. "Acquit me and I might just come and play for you."

Well it don't matter. See how this fits you, I heard on the radio that they have found evidence of DNA of another man on inside the alleged victim from the tests. I don't know the ramifications totally, but it sounds like a bombshell for the accused

That doesn't sound consistent with how a rape victim would act.

America has GOT to get over the taboo attitude of interracial consentual sex.

If rape happened, then prosecute the hell out of the bastard, but if consentual sex happens between a young black man and a young white woman, then PLEASE (parents of the white woman) quit calling it rape.

more like the taboo attitude of consentual sex between a rich /famous guy and a average woman. Being black and a athlete is just a bonus for the trial.

There have been a lot of weird things to go on with this whole thing.

Some people get so stuck in denial that they refuse to see the truth.

The denial story I have from just a couple days ago. My daughter got brave pushed away one of her Friends (hopefully for both their own good) Her (ex)Friend is a freshman in high school and her family is really strict with her (evangelicals). The daughter was fooling around (sex) with some boy (a junior at her school) secretly. My daughter told the girls younger sister so the parents could find out (underhanded, I don't know why that way). The girls parents came over to our house ranting and raving to my wife(I tried to stay out of it and I left them to discuss by them selves and her, too embarrassing).
They was such denial from her parents and her it was unbelievable (of course my wife still had to tell me all about it anyway).

My wife just tried to help them out or whatever. She told them to take their daughter to the Gynecologist, have her checked out, and seriously think about getting her some oral contraceptives. I hope someone gets a clue sometime. They live down the street and still seem kind of pissed off at us (shoot the messenger). The girls parents are trying to shove ideas down the girls throat that she don't understand and wants to rebel against. She tried to runaway a while back so the put her in therapy / counseling with a physiologist.

The sex thing seems like a way to get back at people or get attention to me in some cases. That is just one more reason I am suspicious

Looks to me like he had a decent marriage, fame, fortune
and - perhaps most importantly - the adulation of black youth.
He was a role model to millions.
Turns out he is a pea-brained pig at best and a rapest at worst.

becuase "he had a decent marriage, fame, fortune"....Is it the same for a poor person, or do they get your sympathy?
