Russia wants more work on U.N.Iraq resolution-Ifax

MOSCOW, May 25 (Reuters) - Russia wants to have a clear idea of what a transitional government in Iraq would look like before backing a new U.N. Security Council resolution, Interfax news agency quoted a Foreign Ministry source as saying on Tuesday.

In the first Russian reaction to the document sponsored by the United States and Britain, the source also said Moscow did not object to the idea of keeping a U.N.-backed international force in Iraq under U.S. command. snip

"This (the U.S. command of Iraq forces) is a reality of today's Iraq," the source said.

"Americans are most likely to head the multinational force after the transfer of power to the transitional government. Moreover there are no other volunteers."

from those that didn't want us in Iraq in the first place. He told everyone to "go pound sand" and now he's stuck. Only a new president can put together an international coalition.

This is the basis of the whole opposition by many nations for not supporting the war. W wants me to send my troops in there and I don't get a cut? Please!

The whole thing is just a big heist and if I (Russia, France, Germany, etc) don't get any $$$ out of it screw you. They didn't oppose because of their belief in peace they opposed it because:
a)it was a disasterous and stupid idea
b) none of their businesses were originally going to get a cut.

It's a big ole bag of cash and W&Co. wanted to keep everyone's hands out of except their cronies. Look at what dumbass Blair did-commits 10+K troops and no contracts? Oh sure some subcontracts but not the REAL money.
