Iraq cries out for help from donors

Iraqi interim leaders issued a cry for urgent help from donor countries on Tuesday as aid only trickles through and violence rages ahead of the United States-led coalition's June 30 deadline for the handover of power.

"Iraq needs your help now," interim Planning Minister Mahdi al-Hafidh told a meeting of the International Reconstruction Fund Facility for Iraq and the Donors Committee.

He called on donors to "activate financial promises".

All can clearly see the good working/coordination relationship between Bush and his Iraqi Government. Really, I think this is exactly what I would want to hear hours after I had addressed the United States of America to show the situation in Iraq was well in my hands.

didn't bush say last night that they were producing 2 million barrels of oil per day? Where's the $$ going?

I would sooner see the Iraqi people get that aid
