From what I've been told, this phrase is not one usually heard from Islamic men - the phrase is actually Allah Akbar, minus the 'u', which apparently changes the phrase to an encouragement by those who hear it to join in.

Interestingly enough, the phrase 'Allahu Akbar' is what the alleged "terrorists" in the Berg video say, over and over (another discrepancy, as repeating the phrase is seen as unseemly).
