Bush talks health care in Democratic stronghold of northeastern Ohio

http://www.cleveland.com/news/index.ssf?/news/more/ap/05bush25.html
(snip)
At Youngstown State University, Bush told a crowd of health care professionals that it is important to achieve his five-year goal of opening or expanding 1,200 health centers to serve more than 6 million people. As an example of success, he used the Youngstown Community Health Clinic, which since 1992 has treated mostly uninsured patients in this blue-collar city hit hard by job losses.
(snip)
Chants of "Four more years" were drowned out by cheers of "No more Bush!" Dozens in the crowd wore bright yellow T-shirts that said "Steelworkers for Kerry" in support of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry and many hoisted "Outsource Bush" bumper stickers.
(snip)
Bill Turner, a 46-year-old nursing home worker from Youngstown, held a homemade sign that read: "Bush _ Health Care _ Oxymoron."
(snip)
"I'm appalled that George Bush would even come to this town. His job record is atrocious," Steinbeck said over loud chants of "Kerry!" "That's why he didn't come here to talk about jobs because we've lost so many jobs."

and more.......nice job NE Ohio!

4. Way to go Ohio!!!
I particularly like this. If this is so damned important, why the hell hasn't he been doing it? They're shutting health clinics in my state, not opening them.

6. I wish Bush* would stay the hell out of Ohio...
It is good to hear that there is dissent in this state! I don't get to see much of it since I live in SW Ohio.

7. More PROTESTORS than supporters
according to NPR.

Way cool. Youngstown is a very depressed area and the epitome of the rust belt. There is NO way Bush is gonna take NEOhio. Now, if we could just do something 'bout southern Ohio.

8. Youngstown's my home town,
and I'm so glad all the protesters were there!

My Repuke uncle who still lives there told me he's sick of seeing all those Kerry commercials and it's just a waste because no one in Youngstown is going to vote for Kerry anyway.

I'm forwarding your post to my uncle right now, coalminersdaughter.

Thanx and good work!
