U.S. dismisses report on human-rights abuses
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20040527/WORLD27-1/TPInternational/Americas

Washington -- The White House has flatly rejected Amnesty International's charges that the U.S.-led war on terror had led to widespread human-rights abuses in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

"I dismiss that. The war on terror has protected the human rights of some 25 million people in Afghanistan and some 25 million people in Iraq," (Scott McClellan) ...

...a bit more...

1. But we still expect full immunity from war crimes...
...and we demand that the rest of the countries in the world send their children to die in Iraq to save George W. Bush's political career.

I don't think this approach is going to get them very far...

7. Amnesty International said:
"after the release of Amnesty's 2004 report on the state of human rights around the globe, which charges that the war has proved to be "bankrupt of vision and bereft of principle."

8. So, that must mean that Saddam Hussein was a good guy.
Edited on Thu May-27-04 09:21 AM by TahitiNut
After all, the evidence of human rights abuses during the regime of Saddam Hussein was based predominatly on the reports of Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and similar watchdog groups. (Sheesh!) Arid Flyshit was a far more talented liar than Snotty.

10. I am sure
Those who were subject to being forced into obscene sexual positions, forced to lay naked in their own excrement, those who were beaten, raped and killed - I am sure those people will feel so much better knowing that their hardships and sacrifices in decent human dignity were to "protect human rights of 25 million people in Afghanistan and 25 million people in Iraq. (sarcasm dripping)
