Bush seeing forest charred by wildfire, raising campaign cash
CRAWFORD, Texas (AP)

President Bush is rallying support for his environmental policies and raising campaign money during his monthlong vacation, dealing with both issues on a trip Monday.

Bush planned first to survey a fire-ravaged community in southern Arizona and press the Senate to approve administration initiatives aimed at preventing catastrophic wildfires.

From there, we was to travel to Colorado to headline a $2,000-per-person fund raiser _ his 11th event for his 2004 re-election campaign this year. He already has raised about $40 million. --

Democrats held a 2-1 advantage over Bush when people were asked in a recent poll who they trust to do a better job on the issue.

1. It's not all those damned combustible trees George
it's the oxygen. Remove all the oxygen on the planet and we won't have to worry about anymore pesky forset fires. :eyes:

3. One way to prevent forest fires . .
is to knock down all those useless trees and build condominums and shopping malls.

Just let the money-grubbing developers have at it. Problem solved, right?
