MCI may lose 137 million dollars in US government contracts
Business - AFP

Bankrupt telecommunications group, MCI -- the former WorldCom -- said it might lose up to 137 million dollars in profits after being barred from US government contracts.

The troubled telecoms group said it has has been barred from government projects until it strengthens its financial controls and improves business ethics.

The 137 million dollar loss is a worst case scenario facing MCI if it does not reform its practices by 2005.

The financial impact would be softer if the company reforms prior to 2005, the company said in a filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission. ---

We are going to change history -- we're going to have a ton of fun doing it.

1. Yeah, but will that include the Pentagon's contract with them?
That little sweetheart deal that gives them the Iraqi telecom infrastructure?
