Hostages' throats slit by Iraqi insurgents

Baghdad - Insurgents cut the throats of a Lebanese and two Iraqi employees of a telecommunications firm who were kidnapped Thursday on a road near the flashpoint Iraqi town of Fallujah, a Lebanese diplomat told AFP Saturday.

"Hussein Olayyan, from south Lebanon, and two Iraqis working for a telecommunications company disappeared Thursday in the area around Fallujah," said charge d'affaires Hassan Hijazi.

"The Lebanese company, which had a contract with the Iraqi government, asked the embassy to investigate. On Friday at noon (08h00GMT), some drivers found their bodies brutally mutilated on the roadside between Baghdad and Jordan. Their throats were slit.

I keep a running tally on our county Dems website of the casualties in Iraq and always add "one reported captured". I'm sure most Americans have no clue about this poor man.
