1. It was funny
Larry tried to say that the WH was not involved and she said "they might not be on the front page but they an oar in this water."

She seems to say that the end result of Bush and his questionable war has scared Americans and made them angry.

3. That makes sense
Yesterday, on Meet the Press, they said that, just a few hours before dropping out, Issa distributed press releases entitled "Why Darrell Issa is Running for Governor of California." They were asking why the quick change of mind and Issa had no really believable answer.

29. had heard that blowing in the wind last week when he dropped out
I had heard that the WH called him and said we don't want you to run. They want somebody they feel can win. They need CA and its electoral votes. They need a gov. that will not question the use of diebold voting machines. Issa would not be able to win here, he lost to Boxer for the Senate, and the mud was already being slung at him from the time he announced he was finacing the recall and that he would be the next governor. Arnold is the one that they feel can take CA for them. If he wins I hope the Kennedys turn him into the most liberal person there is. Imagine Bush not able to get a plant in CA capitol.

30. Why is it assumed that "Kennedy" equals liberal?
I don't understand this? The "Kennedy's" are members of the ruling class as it is defined in the US. Other than Ted Kennedy I don't see much liberal activism on the part of the other Kennedy offspring and extended family.

I don't understand this fascination with things Kennedy. JFK was a moderate Democrat and not some wild eyed reformer.

It doesn't matter, the Repigs have successfully turned them into the epitomy of the "Liberal Elite". Reality is irrelevant. They are masters of delusion and with tactics like these they have millions voting against their own best interests.

6. So is the WH going to give Issa his money back?
I mean after all Issa paid for this whole recall with his own stinking money. Not that I care if Issa gets his money, I just mean I can't believe this idiot who plops down all this money on his personal quest lets the WH and Arnold just pull the rug right out from under him. What a dope, what a repuke.

Now at first I figured Issa was tearing up because he'd spent such a big chunk of change on what's turning out to be someone else's party. But then I realized that wasn't it at all. He was just thinking how much more money he's going to have to spend to replace that sheet set and mattress and that fancy duvet because of the mess from that decapitated horse head he found in his bed this morning.

35. This whole thing was planned out like professional wrestling
Karl Rove figured out the whole thing, including Issa's pay-off. If Issa gave an especially convincing historonic display when it came time for him to drop out he would be paid a bonus.

Ashcroft has been exploring ways to allow a non-US born citizen to become president. What do you think that is all about?

After Arnold gets the title "Governor," then we'll see Arnold replacing Cheney (heart-problem) on the 2004 ticket.

Then in four years, Vice-President Arnold, gets to be the GOP candidate for President, when he picks JEB as his VP running-mate.

Movie-star Arnold will be used by the Bush organization exactly the same way movie-star Ronald Reagan was used. Both brought Bush's the votes, and both don't mind much about what the Bush's are stealing.

Rove probably told Issa that he would get a bonus if he 'cried' in his drop out speech. It was probably outlined in the game-plan that Issa would get an extra million if he could generate real tears during the drop-out.

Enron conspired from the beginning to overthrow CA by causing the energy crisis. Now the recall I'm sure was just phase 2. When will the Dems. have enough spine to accuse the Repukes of conspiracy, collusion and force RICO charges?

You don't suppose that the recall election was put into gear because the California crisis did not overthrow Davis.

Could the Recall be plan B?

I would hate to see what plan C will be when the recall is denied.

36. First Governor Arnold, next VP Arnold. Next President Arnold/VP Jeb
Ashcroft is researching ways to allow non-US born citizens to become President.

Once Ashcroft and Rove figure out how to 'deregulate' the Constition on this 'foreign-born' presidental restriction, Arnold will be running with Dubya, in the 2004 VP slot.

Then Arnold will be running in 2008 for President with Jeb in the VP slot.

46. Re: Karl Rove behind this
Today in the Tacoma News Tribune there was an article that a former Microsoft exec had declined to run for governor. Seems he had been recruited by Karl Rove to run as a repug for our governor. When are people going to wise up and realize that bush and rove and extending their tenicles into state and even local government-or do they even care? There was also an article about controllers opposing bush's plan to privitize Boeing Field. Gosh what would these guys be up to if they DIDN'T believe in state's rights??
