Governor already suing over gun-toting likeness of himself as designs for second toy are solicited

Those controversial Arnold Schwarzenegger bobble-head dolls keep nodding and smiling, nodding and smiling, but the real governor's frown will probably deepen when he sees the doll seller's next design.

For despite Schwarzenegger's lawsuit over the existing gun-toting doll, the former Bay Area congressional aide behind the bouncy knickknacks is now soliciting designs for a new "groping Arnold" doll.

John Edgell -- a Washington, D.C., lobbyist and business consultant who formerly worked for lawmakers including Pete Stark, D-Fremont; Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, and Joe Kennedy, D-Mass, first cousin to Schwarzenegger's wife, Maria Shriver -- posted a help-wanted ad Sunday on the Washington section of craigslist.org.

The proposed doll "will poke fun at a governor who has problems with admitting mistakes, either in a courtroom, a movie set, or the state Capitol," the posting said, requesting artists' drawings and offering up to $1,250 for a job done well and fast. The deadline for proposals is July 1.




Well I’m sure there are some very creative minds here at DU who could offer up a design or two and maybe make some money to boot….I think it would be great if Mr. Edgell posted the final designs on a web site and let us vote…

I should be rich by now, but for some reason, I'm still rather broke :shrug:

I will have to get one for my boyfriend, so he will no longer have to use me as a prop in demonstrating Arnold's behavior.
