'Keep the flock out of Tibet'
Beijing - Exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama has told the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) fast food chain to stay out of Tibet over alleged cruelty to animals, an animal rights group said Thursday.

The Dalai Lama has written a letter to KFC parent company Yum! Brands chief executive David Novak imploring him to abandon plans to expand KFC restaurants into Tibet, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) said.

"It is quite natural for me to support those who are currently protesting the introduction of industrial food practices into Tibet that will perpetuate the suffering of huge numbers of chickens," the Dalai Lama is quoted as saying in the letter to KFC.

1. ......Tibet?
They were going to expand KFC into Tibet? Do you get a free one hour sherpa rental with every order of $10 or more?

:wtf:

Rock about the Dalai Lama though. Can always count on His Holiness (this one, not the other one) to be on the right side of the issue.

Anybody remember the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi? I remember listening to a tape of his "back when" and he said that Colonel Sanders (then alive) would have to suffer thousands of chicken lives because of the bad karma he had generated in this lifetime. Hmmm... wonder if the Dalai Lama heard the same tape? :P
