Hillary Clinton hopes to rally Young Democrats of America

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP)

Hillary Rodham Clinton, leading in the polls for a presidential nomination she says she isn't seeking, sought Friday to rally young Democratic Party activists bent on ousting President Bush.

The New York senator and former first lady was to be the star attraction on Day 3 of the biennial convention of the Young Democrats of America, being held this year in Buffalo and expected to attract about 850 people.

``Hillary is a symbol of where we were and where we are going,'' said Lauren Worley, executive vice president of the more than 43,000-member group.

``She will meet a lot of eager young people this week who want her to run for president, if not now the in the future certainly,'' Worley added.

The Ohio Democrat said Clinton ``is a personal hero of so many young women who are in politics, like myself.'' -
