Yeah, Yeah - Judge Issues Pledge Of Allegiance Injunction Colorado School

ACLU Files Suit, Arguing Law Violates First Amendment

DENVER -- A federal judge issued a temporary injunction Friday that blocks public schools from forcing students and teachers to say the Pledge of Allegiance.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Babcock said the state law requiring the pledge discriminates against teachers by allowing students to opt out with a note from their parents.

He also called the law divisive because it pits students who choose to say the pledge against those who do not, as well as students against teachers.

1. Banish the Pledge
As a Pagan in high school, I was greatly offended that I was forced to say the pledge of allegiance with the god bit. Forget that... It PISSED me off. Some people just don't get how offending the pledge is and those "moments of silent prayer". Talk about public brainwashing. Yick!

3. babcock came from bush1...radical RWer...likely looking for the
nod from shrub to move up....in a disability case of police abuse, babcock allowed all people with disabilities, and all people who knew someone with a disability to be removed from the jury...the horror of that was right out of the deep southern all-white juries for Black defendents...babcock has taken it to the 'only jurors without disabilities to judge police abuse towards people with disabilities'...you couldn't ask for a finer RWer than that...

prior to joining the Federal court in Denver under bush1, babcock was on the Colorado court of appeals, and highly unqualified for the Federal Court, other than his connections to RWers...watch for his nomination if vacancies occur on the SC...IMO, babcock is only ruling like this to PROVE that he's an all-round good guy...don't be fooled...
