Peter Bergen-Baghdad bombing work of Al Qaeda
You heard it first on DU.

I e-mailed Peter Bergen(if you do not know who he is, do a search) this morning and asked him if the bombing was the work of Al Qaeda.
He gave a yes and also stated the Jordanian embassy bombing was also the work of Al Qaeda. Also, he state jihadists from around the world are descending on Iraq.

Funny how one rationale for OPPOSING the war in Iraq was that it would strengthen Al Qaeda.

5. And I suppose you are more credible on this subject
What books did YOU write about Al Qaeda?
When did YOU meet and interview Osama bin Laden.
What countries have YOU travelled in researching Al Qaeda.

Yeah, that's what I thought.

10. Fish I Live In The ME And Bergen Is Considered An Asshole Here
So what if he wrote books? So what if he interviewed Osama? Big deal that he travels and gives HIS opinion on Al Qaeda.

George W Bush is the fucking president of the United States. Gonna defend that gem?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

16. lol
Yeah, even if it wasn't the work of Al Qaeda, Bergen's announcement on National TV probably helped them gain more notoreity which is obviously a welcome news for Osama and his gang.

11. Al Queda would be a BAD thing for BushCO
Al Queda was kept in check under Saddam. He leaves, they thrive.
This was a prediction that may anti-war people made.

Of course the Bushies will spin it every which way.

9. Wow...
That Al Queda is really something. A groupd unheard of by the common man a few years ago now runs the world. They plan EVERY bombing, every disaster, arms trade, etc. Must be huge....I mean, they seem more efficient than the US government from what the media says. Special ops, explosive experience, running under the cover of night, bartenders by day. They are even responsible for the stock market crashing occassionally. Crazy bastards.
