Bush Does Not Rule Out Corporate Tax Cuts
. . . "As we stand right now, I believe the tax relief packages we have in place are doing their job. But I'm a flexible person. I want to make sure that the conditions for economic growth and vitality are strong," Bush told reporters before a round of golf.

He was responding to a report in The Wall Street Journal that said the Bush administration was cool to the idea of giving broad tax relief this fall to big businesses.

Business groups want new tax breaks to replace those which have been ruled illegal by the World Trade Organization (news - web sites). But some proposals would cost the government several times what the existing ones cost.

The European Commission (news - web sites) has given the United States an autumn deadline to change its disputed tax break laws for major corporations or face the threat of up to $4 billion in sanctions. . . .

3. I say give the Niagra Mohawk Power Company a HUGE tax cut!
The poor dears have suffered some unfair and unbalanced news coverage lately, and must be a little depressed. Give 'em a few billion, that'll brighten their day. :dunce:

4. Third verse, same as the first
Is that it? Is that the only response he's allowed to mouth? Jesus Christ, like the first two did such a great job of eliminating the deficit and putting the jobless back to work.

God Almighty.

6. It just gets better and better, doesn't it?
I especially liked the last "press" outing at the "ranch" when the "president" said "...I'll tell you if that changes."

These people rule by edict and think they can change reality by dictate.

It's a wonder they still have time for their joyous bloodsport of crushing the weak and poor...

Yet they do...

Tax cuts only stimulate the economy when there's demand; that's what "supply side" horseshit is all about. Scared people either not working or worried about not working don't tend to spend. Tax cuts also do not necessarily "find their way" back into the economy either, and even if they do, they're a very slowwwww.

I hate this man so much. The smug pomposity of those who consider thinking a bother and knowledge irrelevant are useless when they sit on the sidelines of life, but abusive and dangerous when they get in the "game". Arrrrg.
