Abercrombie & Fitch Claims 22 Ownership
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Abercrombie & Fitch says its chain of Hollister stores owns the number 22.

The New Albany-based company has sued rival retailer American Eagle Outfitters, seeking to prevent it from using the number on its clothing.

The lawsuit filed in Columbus federal court asks a judge to order American Eagle to stop using 22 on its clothing and advertising, to destroy any clothes or ads that use the number and to give Hollister any profits from clothes already sold.

Abercrombie says Hollister owns the number 22 because it has appeared on the chain's clothing since the stores opened three years ago.

I guess I need to negotiate for the right to use an "e" in my last
name. Any reasonable offer will be accepted.

BTW - I have just registered the right to start a first name with an upper case "P" so be warned. My lawyers are sending out letters as I write this.

REDMOND, WA—In what CEO Bill Gates called "an unfortunate but necessary step to protect our intellectual property from theft and exploitation by competitors," the Microsoft Corporation patented the numbers one and zero Monday.

With the patent, Microsoft's rivals are prohibited from manufacturing or selling products containing zeroes and ones—the mathematical building blocks of all computer languages and programs—unless a royalty fee of 10 cents per digit used is paid to the software giant.

Above: Gates explains the new patent to Apple Computer's board of directors

5. I'm releasing the concepts of ...
"Unbelieveable" and "Stupid"

Under a GNU Public license. This means they are now open sourc3e and may be applied to A&F at will. Of course, SCO claims prior ownership to those concepts and claims the apply exclusively to SCO. A $799 License fee may have to be paid.
