The "may God continue to bless America" is something I've heard him say before. When we say "God bless America," that's a request (it's in the subjunctive mode) and not an assumption of any present state of blessedness. But when he adds the "continue to" part, he's rhetorically aligning himself with the wingnuts who think the USofA is the new Israel and Americans are God's chosen people. And he's shifting ever-so-slightly the meaning of "God bless America" from a polite and vague request to something approaching a demand. Maybe * is so spoiled by all his enablers that he thinks there's no one or thing he can't boss around.
