Ten Commandments Demonstrators Want AG (Pryor,To Resign)
Edited on Tue Aug-26-03 09:28 PM by WillyT
<snip>

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP)--Protesters hoping to keep a Ten Commandments monument in the state judicial building marched on Attorney General Bill Pryor's office Tuesday, demanding he resign for abiding by a federal court order for the marker's removal.

About 150 monument supporters marched from the judicial building to the nearby Statehouse to meet with Pryor, but were met by 10 state police blocking the door. Seven representatives were allowed inside to meet with Pryor's chief deputy for about 20 minutes.

The rest of the group remained outside, chanting, ``Resign now! Resign now!''

3. Ok, But What Does This Mean For Pryor's Support...
When Monkey Pox renominates him to the Federal Judiciary for the umpteenth time? Will he still have massive conservative support, or is he now toast with his own supporters???

4. obviously he thinks it should help

See, guys, even when I disagree, I follow the law. Now let me be a judge!!!!!!

Edited because I just noticed WillyT specifically asks about his conservative supporters. I think this is exactly the strategy Hatch, et al would be urging him to adopt. It doesn't matter whether Moore's loonies on the courthouse steps like Pryor or not. It matters whether they can pry loose some more senators. And I believe they'll try to use this to drive home the point above, i.e., that he follows the law regardless of his own beliefs.

6. Aaaahhh... Good Point kainah !!! --- Makes Perfect Sense In Fact !
Just wondering if the loonies on the right hold any sway with creeps like Hatch. Or are they just a necessary annoyance to him?

5. Pryor's only doing it because of his nomination.
Power before principles, should be their motto.
