Emirates Shuts Down Arab Think Tank

A think tank named after the Emirates president was shut down after it hosted speakers who promoted anti-American and anti-Semitic views, the president's office said Wednesday.

The president, Sheik Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, ordered the closure after he learned the center "had engaged in a discourse that starkly contradicted the principles of interfaith tolerance," his office said.

The Zayed International Centre was established in 1999 with the aim of promoting Arab unity and has hosted former Vice President Al Gore and former Secretary of State James Baker as speakers.

But it also hosted Thierry Meyssan, the French author of "9-11, The Big Lie," which seeks to implicate U.S. military officials in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks...

Attempts to reach officials at the center were unsuccessful. The center's web site displayed only one line Wednesday: "This site has been stopped."

Center officials have said the think tank is neither anti-Semitic nor anti-American, but is ready to listen to any views.

Meyssan's book came out just before the real expose of 9/11 book from the French came out - "Forbidden Truth: U.S.-Taliban, Secret Oil Diplomacy, Saudi Arabia, and the Failed Search for Bin Laden." Written by French journalists Jean-Charles Brisard and Guillaume Dasquie,

Forbidden Truth was the first look at 911 by other than our Washington press corps media whore toadies -modern day quislings.

It was fun to watch the Bush buddy Bin Laden family - via Yeslam bin Laden,sue the authors for the information they provided on the bin Laden family's past business dealings, and see the suit go no where because the authors had absolute proof that not everything the bin Ladens have done in finance and business has been on the up and up.
As usual Fox lied and claimed the book was unsourced when, in fact, it has over 500 footnotes.

It may well be that Meyssan has been again used by Bush to kill an expose' !!!!!!!!!!
