Military families worried about end of combat pay

MACEDONIA -- Just before the War with Iraq started Congress increased the amount of combat pay to about $225 a month.

But that expires in September.

American troops are still overseas, but the Pentagon says they're running out of money to keep paying them the raise.

The money has pretty much run out to the point that the guys on the front line are getting one meal a day and 3 liters of water in 140-degree heat....

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio (AFMCNS) – An Air Force Research Laboratory engineer and project became part of the Computerworld Honors Archive on Information Technology in San Francisco recently when the 2001 Collection was presented to the International Archives.

The Computerworld Honors online archive and the Collections of the Academic Council searches for and recognizes individuals who have demonstrated vision and leadership as they strive to use information technology in innovative ways across ten categories: Business and related services; education and academia; environment, energy and agriculture; finance, insurance and real estate; government and non-profit organizations; manufacturing; media, arts and entertainment; medicine; science; and transportation.
