US turns ally into enemy {Guardian UK}
The neocons optimism is insane as this critical article by Julian Borger examines post-war "rebuilding" efforts and the fatal assumption that the Iraq army would welcome being under the stars and stripes.

2. Stupid, stupid, stupid
Can these guys get anything right?

Or, are they too blinded by their idealogy to make rational decisions?

4. I'm Not A Big Fan...
of Colon Powell, but he needs to resign and start telling the American
people the truth. It seems as though every sensable and(or) honest thing he has recommended has been "thrown straight into the dustbin by the White House and the Pentagon". He seems to be taking the good soldier thing a bit to far.

6. I Couldn't Even Read...
the whole thing. It makes me want to yell at my monitor and since I am at work that would not be such a good thing. Here is one thing that caught my eye though.

..."debating the future of your country, and even raising your voices in dissent on some occasion, but without fear of torture or death."

What a joke. Does anyone know how many Iraqis have been killed by "Coalition" forces since "major combat" ended?

Jay

8. Since when would an occupying force be considered an ally?
Except by neocons-hell, they are truly nutz.
